BASIC STRUCTURE OF HTML DOCUMENTS
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language is a script for compiling Web documents. HTML documents are stored in regular text format and contain tags that instruct the web browser to execute specified commands.

The basic structure of HTML documents is as follows:
<Html>
<Head>
<Title> Here HTML Document Title </ title>
</ Head>
<Body>
Here the writing of Web information
</ Body>
</ Html>
From the basic structure of HTML above can be explained as follows:

A. Tags
Is a special text (markup) in the form of two characters “<” and “>”, for example <body> is a tag with the name of the body.
Generally tags are written in pairs, consisting of opening tags and closing tags (added character “/” after the character “<“), for example <body> this is the opening tag of the HTML document contents, and </ body> this is the closing tag The contents of the HTML document.

B. Element
Element consists of three parts, namely opening tags, contents, and closing tags. For example to display title of HTML document in web browser use element title, where:

<Title> This is the opening tag of the HTML document
Here the title of this HTML Document is the content of the title of the HTML document
</ Title> This is the closing tag of the title of the HTML document

Tags tagged in pairs on an HTML element, should not overlap with other tags.
Example of writing the correct tags
<P>
<B>
…………….
</ B>
</ P>

Example of writing wrong tags
<P>
<B>
…………….
</ P>
</ B>

C. Attribute
The attribute defines the properties of an HTML element, which consists of names and values. The writing is as follows:
<TAG>
Name-attr = “value-attr”
Name-attr = “value-attr”
……………..
>
……………..

</ TAG>
In general, the attribute value must be in quotes one or two. For example, to make the text text yellow and the background of the web page black, the writing is <body bgcolor = “black” text = “yellow”>
D. HTML Element
Declare to the browser that the Web document used is HTML.

Syntax:
<Html>
……….
</ Html>

E. Element HEAD
It is the head of an HTML document. The <head> tag and </ head> tags are located between <html> tags and </ html> tags.

Syntax:
<Head>
………..
</ Head>

F. Element TITLE
It is the title of the HTML document displayed in the title of the browser window. The <title> and </ title> tags are located between the <head> tag and the </ head> tag.

Syntax:
<Title>
………
</ Title>

G. This BODYElement element to display the contents of HTML documents. The <body> tag and </ body> tags are located under the <head> tag and the </ head> tag.
The BODY element has attributes that specify the color and background of the document to be displayed in the browser.

Syntax:
<Body text = “v” bgcolor = “w” background = “uri” link = “x” alink = “y” vlink = “z”>
…………..
</ Body>
Attribute text gives color to text, bgcolor gives color to HTML background background, background gives background of HTML document in picture form, link gives color value for link, alink gives color to link currently active, vlink gives color to link that has been visited.
If the bgcolor and background attributes are both specified then the background attribute will be used, but if the attribute background value is not found in the HTML document then the bgcolor attribute will be used.
